Where it all began
Wild in Art’s story
It’s been over 15 years since Wild in Art first came to the world’s attention with Go Superlambananas, part of Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture celebrations. Since then, we’ve gone on to animate cities across four continents including Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Christchurch, Cape Town and São Paulo.
Closer to home we’ve created public art trails for the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games and the Ryder Cup and developed events the length and breadth of the country. From our first national trail across Scotland and our first touring installation, Gratitude, to trails in Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, we’ve been privileged to work with many wonderful partners in many different locations.
In 2025 we are looking forward to returning to Manchester with Music For The Senses and much much more.

Wild in Art News
The Elmer Art Trail ticked every box from the council’s point of view. We are confident that visitor numbers have increased, and that the trail had a very positive effect on people’s perception and the reputation of Blackpool. We saw a 138% uplift in people coming into a Tourist Information Centre to pick up trail maps during the trail. It was a really joyful experience.” – Philip Welsh, Head of Tourism and Communication, Blackpool Council
Elmer’s Big Parade Blackpool
As the first Wild in Art event to come to the Blackpool, Elmer’s Big Parade featured a trail of over 70 Elmer the Patchwork Elephant sculptures, inspired by David McKee’s beloved children’s book character. To bring this unforgettable event to the seaside resort, Wild in Art partnered with Brian House, the only children’s hospice on the Fylde coast.
