J R Oatts

J R Oatts is an abstract artist who explores the theme of ‘colour in motion’, creating dynamic and expressive paintings influenced by nature, society, music, LGBTQ+ culture and performance. She has exhibited in galleries and fairs in London, around the UK and internationally and has an annual presence at Manchester Art Fair.

Originally from Essex, she is now based in Bollington, Cheshire, close to the Peak District and is currently studying MA Fine Art with Falmouth University.

Her passions outside of art include music, singing, songwriting and playing guitar. Guitars and music have always been a big part of her life, and she is very passionate about the cultural heritage of the North West, especially Manchester.
