Created in support of Pancreatic Cancer Action

This mural was unveiled in November 2024 in partnership with leading UK charity Pancreatic Cancer Action as a tribute to the late Andy Rourke, beloved bassist of The Smiths, who passed away in May 2023 aged 59 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Located on the side of the Wheatsheaf Pub on Oak Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, an area where Rourke lived and loved, the mural has quickly become a focal point for fans, raising just under £30,000. Donations can still be made via the QR code on the mural.
