This design features an honorific portrait of Muddy Waters, a Black blues pioneer whose iconic 1964 concert at Wilbraham Road Station preceded the legendary Sex Pistols show at the Lesser Free Trade Hall. This event helped spark an explosion of era-defining rock ‘n’ roll. Such moments solidify Manchester’s legacy as a hub of creative innovation, trendsetting, and pivotal moments in music history.
