Adriana de Matos is a Portuguese-born professional artist based in Edinburgh who works mostly in the fields of portraiture and wildlife illustration.

Initially focusing on oil paintings that explored the human figure, Adriana completed a degree in Painting and held her first solo exhibition near Lisbon in 2014. Shortly after, she relocated to Scotland, where the local fauna and flora inspired her to create detailed ink and watercolour illustrations of woodland animals and birds.

She has previously participated in several Wild in Art trails across Scotland, the most notable being Giraffe About Town, where her painted sculpture helped raise £14,000 for charity.
