Helen is a professionally trained artist and illustrator, working under the name Pocket Wren. With a background of illustrating within the children’s book market, Pocket Wren is her excuse to produce things that are a little more grown up…although not too much!

She also has a passion for teaching and runs regular craft/art workshops both for adults and children. She’s in her element in a classroom covered in paint and sticky handprints and loves sharing her skills and crafts with others.

Originally a Yorkshire lass but now, having made the controversial move across the Pennines, she works from her home studio in Bolton. A love of the great outdoors influences her work significantly, with the nature and wildlife of the British landscape being her favourite subjects.
