This guitar is one of a limited number showcased at our recent Design Selection Event for sponsors. Originally donated through our guitar amnesty appeal, it has been transformed into a stunning work of art by artist Jenny Leonard.
It will be featured, alongside many others, on Manchester’s `Music for the Senses` art trail this summer, before going to auction to raise funds for local grassroots music projects and venues.

Some news from backstage 🎸
Manchester based artist @jennyleonardart has been working on this guitar design for the trail, inspired by the Oasis song She’s Electric.
Guitar experts @rigby_music carefully prepare each guitar so that paintable areas are accessible. Once decorated, they will then reassemble and restring them, restoring them to full working condition, ready for display this summer 🎸
Keep your eyes peeled as we’ll reveal the completed guitar soon!

Jenny also created a series of stunning plectrum-shaped artworks, which were given away to a few lucky winners throughout the evening.

The designs were shortlisted from over 260 impressive submissions made by local and national artists. Our sponsors had the difficult decision of choosing their top three favourites and selected artists will soon be commissioned to transform real guitars into spectacular artworks.
